Crestor Rhabdomyolysis

Rhabdomyolysis is a serious condition that involves muscle damage and affects the kidneys. This condition is known to be a rare side effect of all currently marketed statins, particularly Crestor.

People who are particularly susceptible to increased risks of Crestor-induced rhabdomyolysis include those who have:

  • Advanced age (65 years or older);
  • An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism); and
  • Kidney disease

If you develop any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness at any time during treatment with CRESTOR, especially if you also have a fever or feel ill, call your doctor right away. This may be a sign of rhabdomyolysis.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) knew of these risks before approving Crestor. The problem is that patients didn't. Have you been taking Crestor? Are you suffering from rhabdomyolysis, kidney problems or liver disease that may be linked with your use of Crestor? Contact a Crestor attorney now! You may have a lawsuit claim.
